Roren sat at the table closest to the corner. The entrance to the gym to her right, freedom to her left. She poked at the food before her with a white plastic fork. She sighed softly, pushing the tray away from her.

The girls at the table to her left continued to giggle and whisper their well-known gossip. "They're all so hot! Especially the one with the black hair!" One girl laughed and pointed to the four new students sitting at the opposite end of the cafeteria.

The four boys had just moved to their town over the week, moving into the five bedroom, two-story house just a block away from the school. All of them were Seniors, not related to each other in any way, and a couple of them looked older than what they really were.

A couple of them, the one with the black hair and always wearing sunglasses and the other with short brunette hair, Roren had in classes. Neither of them spoke much, even when spoken to. Their two other friends, however, she had never seen before; besides in the cafeteria.

They also had odd names. Though she knew they were probably using alias', even the teachers had called them by what they asked. She found this odd.

She caught herself staring at their table and flinched back as a scrawny hand waved in front of her face. The girl with short black hair blinked and stared up at the girl before her.

She had long blonde hair that extended to the middle of her back. Her almond-shaped blue eyes pierced like daggers into Roren's fixed stare. "What are you staring at?" She asked, her voice high-pitched and snappy. The girl placed her hand on her hip clothed in a pink mini-skirt. Her shirt pure white, the sleeves cut off at her shoulders.

Roren blinked again and shrugged. Speaking in a quiet voice, "I dunno..." "It sure as better not be the new guys." The cheerleaders' voice was sharp. Roren's brow furrowed, her light gaze turning into a glare.

"What if I was?" The black-haired girl growled. "Heh. Because," the cheerleader stated as she placed her hands on the table. "You would never have a chance!" Roren glared up at her, her hands clenching tightly into fists. "Who are you to deci-" "Because! I'm the head cheerleader! Nobody would go for a goth brat like you!"

----

The group of boys sat together, talking quietly amongst themselves. "Shut up!" yelled a girl across the room. Three of the boys glanced up from their trays and stared at the two girls glaring at each other. The boy with the black hair slicked back and sunglasses on his face, kept his head bowed.

"Heh. Wow. First day and already a fight! This place is going to be interesting!" Said the young brunette sitting beside the black-haired boy. "Yo, GRIMM! Check it out!" He said, tapping GRIMM's shoulder. The one known as GRIMM looked up at him and then to the girls at the opposite end. He shook his head and stared back down at the table, softly taking a bite out of the bread he held in his hand.

"What do you think it's about?" The brunette asked, placing his hand over his ear to hear better. He didn't have to because the fight was about to become more deadly.

----

The cheerleader stared down the semi-shorter gothic girl, her face red with rage. "How dare you!" She screamed lunging for the girl dressed in black. Roren quickly and gracefully dodged out of the way, staring at the girl who had come at her once again. Again, she dodged her, her eyes never leaving their target. The cheerleader swung several more times before she latched onto the blonde girl's wrist, twirling her around, and launched her against the northern wall.

The cheerleader smacked face-first into the hard cement, blood marking the wall as she fell helplessly to the floor. Her face to her hands, she screamed in pain, tears fleeing from her eyes endlessly. Roren stepped back, a mark of hurt on her face. "I didn't mean to..." Her voice trailed off as several chairs scoot back, a group of boys running to the cheerleaders' aid.

----

"Ha! Score one for the goth! Hey, GRIMM! Who do you think's go-" The brunette looked this way and that, his black-haired friend now missing in action. "Jigsaw. Landphil! Did you guys see where GRIMM went to?" He asked, still looking around and under the table. The bigger of them all, Landphil, pointed his finger towards the tables near the line of the lunch room, GRIMM slowly yet swiftly making his way towards the gothic girl. "He's over there Professor." He said, staring at his friend with high curiosity.

"What's he doing? He's not going to get into it, is he?" Professor asked, staring confused at his friend. Jigsaw and Landphil shrugged at his question. The three of them watching intently.

----

After the cheerleader was picked up, she glared hard at Roren, pointing her finger at her. "She broke my nose!! Someone take care of her!" She yelled. At her command, several boys had moved in on Roren, cracking their knuckles violently, several stretching their necks to the side and rolling their shoulders back.

Roren backed up against the table, staring at them all, she knew she was in for a world of hurt. There was no way she could take them all at once. She flinched and closed her eyes as one of the boys landed a hard punch against her head. She fell to the ground, clutching her head in agony. Hardly able to open her eyes, she squinted at the on-coming boys and bowed her head again, pleading for a miracle.

Another boy reared back and sprang forward his fist, but the hit never came. Instead, a loud cry of irritated and pain escaped the boys' mouth as his arm was twisted behind his back. The defender the one known as GRIMM. Roren stared up at him, her vision becoming blurry. GRIMM pulled the guy close to him, whispering in a menacing tone of voice, "Don't hit a girl." He pushed the jock away from him into his buddies and knelt down beside Roren.

He laid his hand gently upon the wound on her head, blood staining his fingers. He glared back at the jocks who then thought twice about attacking the new student. Feeling as if about to pass out, Roren tried to stand but fell and clung tightly to GRIMM as he picked her up in his arms. Cradling her, he led her away from the scene, heading towards the exit to the cafeteria where he saw the Nurses' Office earlier that day.

His friends at his table stared awestruck at his actions. Not sure what to say or do, they gathered their things and followed close behind, staring back only once at the crying cheerleader who didn't get her way.
This is a dream I've been having for the passed few days.
It never gets passed the part where they were heading out of the cafeteria. It confuses me so much why it's such a short dream. Either way, I enjoy it and I hope that I actually portrayed their characters right... Then again, it wouldn't be my fault if not because it was a dream that I had so.... Yea.. >w>
